Recently, I've been noticing how naturally I put myself last. How quickly I shrink my needs or silence my emotions, so I don't inconvenience anyone. It became clear how often I'm fine has been a mask, not a truth. It's a way to keep peace externally while losing peace internally. There's a quiet heaviness that comes from always pouring outward without pouring inward. Quite frankly, you will experience burn out which is another posting within itself, back on topic. Choosing yourself isn't selfish. It's a saying that's known and rarely said or even respected. Please know that your needs don't make you a burden. They make you human.
I'm learning to not only pace myself to also take a moment especially once that moment of stress, worry, or doubt to place a hand on my heart breathe deeply and choose myself without guilt. If you've been giving all of yourself away... May, you find the courage to save some love for you!
Until the next page... KEEP BECOMING!
